Prayer for Forgiveness of Self in Difficult Times

O Almighty Father in Heaven, Thank you for always loving me unconditionally. Today, I ask for forgiveness for all the harmful acts and immature decisions I took against my own self. I still carry the load of guilt and shame in my heart. I do not want to indulge in self-sabotage any further. There were decisions and actions that I took which were not in my favor. Teach me to learn from them and take them as stepping stones. Help me forgive myself for the sins I committed knowingly and unknowingly against myself. Forgive me for harboring feelings of anger, fear, and jealousy in my heart. Forgive me for the times I compared myself to others, and forgive me for longing for harmful things outside of you and your kingdom. Please forgive me for my resentful attitude when situations don’t go as my plan. Forgive me for the times I have indulged in harsh words against myself. Forgive me for believing things which are negative in nature. "Forgive me for doing wrong, as we forgive others." (Matthew 6:12) O Almighty Father, forgive me when I allow anger and bitterness. I know as my Divine Father that you are always besides me. Help me model your ways when I make my amends for the times I’ve hurt myself, and also offer forgiveness for times when I have hurt myself. Help me focus on my own responsibility in the issue, so my actions won’t be conditional. Amend my thoughts and help me understand how marvelously you have made me. Help me accept myself unconditionally. Hold me in the hollow of thy hand and shower your choicest blessings on me; I know your love knows no boundaries. I ask thee to help me let go of anger, bitterness, and resentment towards myself and others. Help me learn how to face every storm with confidence, knowing that you are giving me courage to move forward. Help us to set our eyes and our hearts on you afresh. Renew our spirits; fill us with your peace and joy. Teach me to forgive myself like you forgave those who sinned against you. Please fill my heart with Holy Spirit, and help me be your dutiful servant. Help me live in a state of complete surrender to You, my merciful and Almighty God. Thank you for each new day, each new chapter, and every new beginning. Amen.
